What it checks
- Compare: messages are matched by CAN ID and signals by name. You see added and removed messages and signals, renamed messages, and changes to length, transmitter, cycle time (GenMsgCycleTime), start bit, length, byte order, sign, factor, offset, range, unit, multiplexing, receivers and value tables.
- Errors: duplicate message IDs, duplicate signal names in a message, overlapping signals (multiplexed signals with different multiplexer values may share bits), signals running outside the payload, invalid lengths, factor 0.
- Warnings: a declared minimum/maximum the signal's bits cannot reach, minimum above maximum, an extended ID without the extended flag.

Questions
Does it read ARXML or LDF files?
No, only DBC files. For ARXML or LDF comparisons, talk to us: we do this as part of communication-matrix work.
Why is a signal reported as overlapping when it is multiplexed?
Signals with different multiplexer values may share bits. Signals without a multiplexer value, and the multiplexor itself, may not overlap anything. Check that the m-values in the DBC file are set.
Is my DBC file uploaded?
No. Both files are read by your browser and stay on your computer. Only the Excel report is created, on your device.
Managing a communication matrix across releases?
Dervo engineers maintain DBC and ARXML communication matrices, review changes with suppliers and update restbus and test setups.
